Kingstree High School AJROTC Helps Keep the Community

Wearing neon safety vests and rubber gloves, the Kingstree High School Army Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps (AJROTC) cadets picked up paper alongside their adopted highway. The cadets spent a day on Saturday, September 22, cleaning up the school’s football stadium along with paying special attention to their adopted highway.

The cadets focused on areas on Wilson Buie Blvd. and sections on US highway 377. The cadet commander of the KHS Jaguar Battalion, Janae Dorsey, said “We have cadets who are willing to roll up their sleeves, and make things work. Coming out on a Saturday shows that we have people who care about how their community looks.” The cadets was able to pick up a total of 150 pounds of trash.
